On April 18,2024 Sinchew Daily reported that the Pasir Panjang Perak Garden neighborhood Centre in Ipoh will host an electronic waste recycling and cash exchange event on April 20, from 8 AM to 12 noon. This event has been a monthly event which the collection will be done on the third Saturday of every month. The chairman of the committee, Chong Ming Tat noted that the collaboration with the Department of Environment and Edsha Solutions has yielded positive results, achieving a total recycling volume of 102 metric tons in 2023, up from 67 metric tons in 2021. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the dangers of improper e-waste disposal and promote environmental responsibility. Community members are encouraged to participate and bring their children to learn about environmental protection.
