Despite a collection programme in place for five years, many residents still lack awareness, leading to dumping routine of old and malfunction appliances. Managing director Edward Ponniah emphasized the environmental risks posed by hazardous substances like mercury and lead if e-waste is not disposed of correctly. The campaign seeks to provide residents with essential information and access to proper disposal methods.
