On August 7, 2023, Bernama reported that Edsha Solutions Sdn Bhd collected 188 tonnes of e-waste in Ipoh last year, with 115 tonnes gathered in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI). Managing Director Edward Ponniah highlighted that the initiative engaged communities and schools is to foster responsible consumption and waste reduction. This program not only resulted in a significant carbon footprint reduction of 164 tonnes last year, with 63 tonnes reduced from January to June this year.
Looking ahead, Edsha Solutions aims to implement an electro-oxidation process for zero-waste water discharge and plans to rely on rainwater harvesting to minimize their water footprint. The company is also investing in green energy sources like hydrogen fuel and solar power for sustainable operations. Together, these efforts emphasize Edsha Solutions' commitment to environmental stewardship and showcase their leadership in promoting sustainable e-waste management practices.
